Job Summary
Champion the assessment of co-curricular programs and services in the Division of Student Affairs. Coordinate assessment processes, data collection, and evidenced based reports. Cultivate a culture of assessment throughout the Division of Student Affairs. Serve as the liaison to the Office of Institutional Assessment and Accreditation. Reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs.

Due to the Governor's approval for the Cost of Living Adjustment to Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023, final salaries at the time of hire may be impacted, but will not be lower than what is advertised.

Coordinate all activities of the Division of Student Affairs that support the university accreditation process
Plan and implement one-time and on-going projects to assess student needs, satisfaction, and/or student learning outcomes. This includes developing assessment methodology, conducting assessment projects (quantitative and qualitative), analyzing and drawing conclusions from data, writing reports, and presenting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
Serve as a resource and consultant to Division of Student Affairs staff members conducting assessment projects; coordinate division assessment plans; foster an understanding of assessment terminology and concepts; assist with developing training materials related to assessment, data collection, data implementation, and communication of results. Assist in the building and dissemination of surveys, and in conducting focus groups on behalf of division departments; assist in reporting progress on goals and general data to university and external audiences; assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to accreditation and accountability using student information and internal/external peripheral systems
Collaborate, analyze, and assist Division leadership with assessment related efforts involving Eagle Engage
Collect reports and disseminate information related to student characteristics and future trends relevant to the vision, mission, and strategic plans of the Division of Student Affairs and Georgia Southern University; oversee and maintain division web pages related to assessment, accreditation, and learning
Collaborate with division committees and administrators to develop and implement assessment instruments and plans to improve the quality of programs and services
Lead the development of the Division of Student Affairs strategic plan that supports the university strategic plan
Provide ongoing support in analyzing and reporting on student learning outcomes assessed on all three campuses
Lead all Division of Student Affairs assessment strategies; cultivate a culture of assessment and evidence-based decision making throughout the division
Chair the Division of Student Affairs Assessment Committee including representatives from all units within the division. Facilitate programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of division staff on assessment practices
Coordinate the annual reporting process for the Division of Student Affairs including the impact report process. Utilize data from key performance indicators to track needs, impact of programs, and emerging trends
Manage a regular review of programs as detailed by the professional standards from the Council for the Advancement of Standards (CAS) in Higher Education. Coordinate all external reviews for division units
Champion assessment projects within the Division of Student Affairs and collaborate with other divisions and academic units for collaboration on assessment initiatives
Serve as the liaison of the Division of Student Affairs to the Office of Institutional Assessment and Accreditation
Serve as the liaison to the Office of Institutional Research; coordinate all requests for research disseminated to all students and coordinate review process with the Vice President for Student Affairs and the President's Cabinet
Serve on the senior leadership team with other designated direct reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs. Represent the division at events at the request of the Vice President for Student Affairs

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Master's degree
Required Experience
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of professional experience
Experience in assessment practices, coordinating programs, and building teams to support the division mission.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in education, assessment, or related field
Terminal degree
Preferred Experience
Working knowledge of assessment practices, statistical analysis and interpretation of data, report writing, and communicating findings to a range of audiences, including policy makers, educators, and the general public.

Proposed Salary
$61,300 - $71,700
