Job Description

The University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business Department of Finance is seeking applications to fill three positions at the rank of either Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor (tenure-track faculty member) for a start date of Fall 2020.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline from a recognized institution of higher education by the start date.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidate’s academic research specialty areas can include but are not limited to corporate finance, investments, and financial markets.

Teaching interests can include but are not limited to corporate finance, investments, banking and financial institutions, real estate, and risk management and insurance.

Evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate or MBA level and willingness to teach online classes are desirable.

Evidence of scholarship beyond the dissertation will be viewed favorably by the search committee.

Candidates at the Associate Professor and Professor levels should have an established record of publication in the top Finance journals, a continuing program of research with potential for top-tier publication, and a willingness to teach in the MBA and/or Ph.D. programs.
