The Department of Strategic Communication and Public Relations at Notre Dame College seeks applicants for a full-time (9 month) Assistant or Associate Professor faculty position.
Responsibilities of this position would include
Teaching a 4/4 load, primarily face-to-face, on-ground modality.
Advising of students.
Contributing to develop new curriculum as required.
Participating in service to the college, professional development, and other scholarly activities.
Notre Dame College is primarily a teaching institution, but faculty are invited and encouraged to participate in research and/or other scholarly activities, with a goal of providing mentoring to undergraduate students through these activities.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or M.A. in Communication, Public Relations or Professional/Business Communication. Experience in business or corporate working world is preferred.
Demonstrated higher education teaching experience, with both face-to-face and online modalities.
Experience working with underrepresented students is preferred.
Courses may include Speech, Mass Communication, Media Writing, News Writing, Professional Communication, Presentation Techniques, Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, Communication Theory, Public Relations
