Academic Talent Acquisition and Retention Coordinator
The Division of Faculty Affairs at the University of Vermont seeks an Administrative Professional to work with the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs in developing an overarching and responsive recruitment strategy to support University priorities and diversity initiatives. The Academic Talent Acquisition and Retention Coordinator will: (i) develop search plans for full-time faculty and administrative leadership positions; (ii) ensure consistency with University priorities and compliance with AAEO guidelines and other relevant policies; (iii) identify appropriate ad placements and recruiting pipelines, and market the University brand to prospective forums and candidates: (iv) collaborate with Human Resource and AAEO, assist business units, and search committees with all facets of the search and hiring process, from prospecting and networking to recruitment and onboarding; (v) collaborate with Office of Institutional Research and Assessment staff to track and maintain data on faculty recruitment and retention efforts.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and two to four years of related experience, preferably direct recruiting experience. Knowledge of best practices for affirmative recruiting, and track record of hiring candidates with a range of diverse identities. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines (faculty, staff, prospective candidates, academic administrators and candidates). Effective oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of basic office software and other tools utilized to track and maintain data. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
