Nebraska Wesleyan University seeks applications for an energetic professional to serve as Director for Student Engagement. The Director of Student Engagement works with the Vice President for Student Life to support the personal and intellectual growth of students through student involvement and student leadership activities. The incumbent also manages the day to day operations for the Center for Student Involvement and its activities; assists with planning and delivering major campus events (e.g. Homecoming/Wesleyan Weekend) and coordinates new student programs, including summer communications.
This position will serve as the primary University advisor to NWU Greek Life which includes six chapters, two councils and the Order of Omega honorary and mentor student leaders on recruitment, programming, and self-governance. The Director will ensure Greek Life compliance with University policies and procedures; serve as a liaison to house directors and chapter advisors as well as relevant national Greek chapter and council headquarters.
Additionally, the position supports student programming for traditional undergraduate students and non-Greek student involvement opportunities; coordinates logistics for use of campus by internal and external camps and conferences; and is expected to attend Student Affairs Senate meetings.
This is a full-time, exempt, year-long position which requires significant evening and weekend responsibilities flexed within a 40-50 hour work week. The successful candidate will be an advocate for diversity, highly organized, independent, and comfortable working with both on-campus and off-campus constituencies.

Candidates with a completed Master’s degree in Higher Education or a related field will be given preference. Some post-baccalaureate professional or academic experience in higher education is required.
