Job Description

General Summary:

This position is responsible for providing instruction to 9th-11th  grade students enrolled in the Refugee Youth Project's summer school program at Patterson High School. Responsibilities include teaching art class, development of instructional materials, student assessment, and following student record keeping processes and procedures.

Our program runs from July 5th, 2022- August 11th, 2022; Monday- Thursday.

Instructors will be required to attend an orientation prior to the program start date either via Zoom or in person.

Preferred and Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Education and 1-3 years working in education.


  • Ability to teach art lessons to young children required.
  • Experience working with youth with limited English skills preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment a plus.
  • Experience working with and supervising volunteers a plus, but not required.
