Job Summary:The successful candidate will join the GLOBAL Inclusive College Certificate Program and Instructional Design and Technology (ID&T) team. The GLOBAL Program provides wraparound support (academic, co-curricular, residential life) for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Educational Support Specialist (ESS) will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and members of the ID&T team as well as support professionals in other university units. The ESS will support faculty in the design of instruction, materials, assessments and learning activities that exemplify Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and promote the use of evidence-based teaching and design practices as well as innovative uses of learning technology for teaching and learning.
A qualified candidate will have project management skills including managing multiple projects at once. They will be self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to work independently and take appropriate initiative and also have strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
