The State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) is hiring a faculty cluster in Water Research to complement existing expertise in this general area as well as in water chemistry, water resources management, applied hydrology and aquatic ecology. The new cluster will be seeded with tenure-track positions in water quality modeling (Department of Environmental Resources Engineering), aquatic biochemistry (Department of Chemistry), applied hydrology (Department of Sustainable Resource Management), water policy and governance (Department of Environmental Studies) and Aquatic Molecular and Cellular Biology (Department of Environmental Biology). Full details on the cluster hire and all positions are available at www.esf.edu/HR/clusterhire.

Of particular interest is research addressing critical environmental problems such as the prediction of algal blooms, effects of climate change or land use change on water quality, or optimization of watershed best management practices. Applicants should demonstrate a capacity to engage in multidisciplinary projects working with engineers, hydrologists, chemists, biologists, ecologists, or policy specialists.
