The College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS), University of Manitoba invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, in the area of Graduate Professional Development. The position is anticipated to start on July 1, 2022. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the University of Manitoba Faculty Association Collective Agreement.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in a Health Sciences-related field, and a successful post-doctoral experience. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the Vice-Dean, Graduate Studies (RFHS) to develop and implement strategic plans for Graduate Professional Development programming within the RFHS. Therefore, applicants must have demonstrated commitment regarding professional development and advancement of career preparedness, as well as evidence of taking initiative and leadership in endeavors such as program development and implementation, organization of learning events, networking with academic and non-academic sectors, and mentorship of learners such as graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. The ideal candidate will bring strong networking skills, proficient oral and written communication skills, and a keen interest in the value of mentorship.

The College of Pharmacy is located in the 90 000 sq. ft. Apotex Centre on the Bannatyne Campus at the University of Manitoba. In addition to the state-of-the-art, open research laboratory, the College is home to the Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab (PAL) which serves as an analytical hub. PAL is the only facility on the Bannatyne campus with analytical mass spectrometry capabilities, and is available for use by College of Pharmacy and RFHS researchers. This equipment suite includes several HPLC systems, single and triple quadrupole mass spectrometers (LC-MS and LC-MS/MS), a quantitative PCR (qPCR) thermocycler, a fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) system, a nano-drop UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and a clinical chemistry analyzer.
