Emory University School of Medicine invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology. Beginning immediately, we seek investigators who will develop innovative and vigorous research programs in the broad areas of Pharmacology and Chemical biology, or medicinal chemistry as applied to human diseases such as, but not limited to cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. Exceptional applicants for other ranks will also be considered.

The selected candidates will receive a competitive start-up package, modern lab space, and will be mentored by a formal committee. The successful candidates will join a vibrant, collegial, and multidisciplinary basic research department with extensive scientific connectivity with the Winship Cancer Institute, the Goizueta Institute @Emory Brain Health, and the Department of Chemistry at the Emory College, and other basic and clinical departments across the School of Medicine. New faculty will have immediate access to powerful research infrastructures and core facilities, including the well-recognized Emory Chemical Biology Discovery Center with state-of-the-art high-throughput screening capabilities, as well as a top-ranked graduate training program in pharmacology. The Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at Emory is experiencing another phase of growth with the strong commitment of the leadership of the Woodruff Health Science Center and the School of Medicine, who share a focused vision for chemistry-enabled discovery, therapeutic innovation, and translational biology.
Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field of study, postdoctoral experience, and a record of research excellence.
