Position Description

The Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine at the University of Louisville is seeking to employ a full-time faculty member to serve as Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program located at Owensboro Health in Owensboro, Kentucky. Candidate must have knowledge of ACGME program requirements for Family Medicine and clinical experience within the residency training environment. Preferred candidate will have experience in program development, accreditation, and leadership in an academic medicine program.  Candidate should have the professional experience to build and lead teams designed to deliver excellence in areas of clinical care, education, and scholarly output. This position will work closely with the Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine to manage and grow a successful residency program in Family Medicine. Candidate should be board certified in Family Medicine and have the necessary qualifications for obtaining a Kentucky Medical license, as well as all insurance credentialing.
