Description Summary:The Department of Population Health at the University of Kansas Medical School is seeking outstanding applicants
for one or more full-time, tenure track positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor levels. We are looking for core faculty members
for our dynamic PhD program in Health Policy and Management and our well established and fully accredited Masters in Health Services
Administration (MHSA) program. Our programs are defined by a commitment to high quality education and scholarship that advance knowledge
across a wide range of interdisciplinary fields, and meaningful service within our institution and across the state of Kansas.
Applicants should have a strong background in health policy or management and interest in teaching at the masters and PhD level. We
are open to all areas of specialization but particularly welcome applications from individuals with expertise in any of the following areas:
qualitative research methods, health disparities research, program and policy evaluation, and causal statistical methods. Qualified
applicants will have a completed PhD in health policy and management or a closely related field (e.g., health economics, medical sociology,
health services research, public administration, etc.) and demonstrated productivity in scholarly and funded research. Applicants must have
potential to secure extramural funding, ideally as demonstrated by participation in recent grants and/or contracts. Evidence of effective
teaching in courses related to the Department's degree programs is strongly preferred, along with experience supervising and mentoring
doctoral students. All candidates also must be well-suited to working both individually and collaboratively within a dynamic,
inter-disciplinary environment.

should be provided. Applications received by May 7, 2022, will receive full consideration, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis
after that until the position(s) is filled.

Description:Required Qualifications:- Qualified applicants must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree that includes
graduate or post-doctoral training in health policy and management or a closely related field (e.g., health economics, medical sociology,
business, public administration, etc.).
- Potential to support or secure extramural funding as demonstrated by participation in
recent grants and/or contracts.
- Ability to work both individually and collaboratively within a dynamic, inter-disciplinary
environment
Preferred Qualifications: - Evidence of effective teaching in courses related to the Department's degree
programs.
- Interest in working in an academic medical center that has a strong focus on interdisciplinary education.

Experience supervising and mentoring doctoral students.
- Relevant experience or background related to health policy, social
determinants of health, health economics, health equity, etc.
Job Duties Outlined:- Teach graduate courses according
to educational and research expertise.
- Participate in course and curriculum development.
- Support the department's teaching
efforts, including lectures and other activities to medical students, graduate students, and post-graduate trainees.
- Participate in
departmental committees and activities, faculty meetings, and other Medical School committees. Provide other services to the school,
university, profession, and community, as appropriate.
- Maintain an ongoing program of research. Secure external funding for
research/training programs appropriate to expertise.
- Collaborate with other faculty members as part of interdisciplinary research
teams focused on advancing health care policy and health care delivery.
