The Department of Management in the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno, invites applicants for a full-time, Lecturer position in Entrepreneurship. We are looking for someone who has primary teaching interests in the following areas: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and/or New Ventures. This position will also be responsible for working closely with the Director of the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to support and promote community outreach. The Lyles Center develops opportunities to foster innovative and creative learning among students and community members by leveraging resources and relationships from the community to assist with the development of innovators and entrepreneurs. The Lyles Center offers a variety of programs aimed at improving Entrepreneurship education, access to resources, and collaborative networks among students and community members. In this position, the successful candidate will direct or support an array of existing Lyles Center programs, such as the Johanson Entreprepreneurship Fellows, student mentorship in the Student Hatchery, and serve as the faculty advisor for the Entrepreneurship Club, as well as proposing new innovative programs that promote the economic development of the Central Valley and beyond through entrepreneurship and innovation.

The individual will be an inspirational teacher in undergraduate and MBA programs; engage in service-related activities, and perform outcomes assessments. The work will require a particular focus on applying entrepreneurial concepts and the development of an entrepreneurial mindset among students and will make a demonstrable impact on regional economic development through community outreach, influencing policy, and/or scholarly research.

The Department faculty are committed to student success and continue to develop new course curriculum, including service-learning courses, and web-enhanced or web-based instruction. There may be opportunities to teach in the Executive MBA or Accelerated Bachelor's in Business Administration programs. Our campus culture requires an environment that cooperatively works with faculty, staff, and students in the department, School, and University. Specific assignments are dependent on departmental needs and the background of the individual.

Required:
  1. Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, or a related field
  2. Demonstrated ability to do community outreach
  3. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level
  4. Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds
Preferred Experience:
  1. Earned doctorate in Entrepreneurship, Business, or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution (e.g., AACSB for a business doctorate).
  2. Demonstrated success in teaching excellence as an instructor of record
  3. Demonstrated success in managing within an entrepreneurial ecosystem, including incubators and accelerators
  4. Demonstrated history of fundraising
  5. Ability to integrate a network of entrepreneurs and investors (e.g., business angel associations, VC funds) into the program.
