Minimum Qualifications
  • The requirements for this position include an earned Ph.D. in Accounting or equivalent from an AACSB accredited institution and demonstrated potential for quality teaching and research. 
    • Candidates who are ABD may be considered but the position requires completion of all doctoral requirements by the time the position begins (January 2023 or August 2023). 
Candidates with Juris Doctor (JD) or Masters of Laws (LLM) and who do not have a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution will not meet the requirements for this position and should not apply.

Description of the Department or Unit

The John A. Walker College of Business is AACSB accredited and has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department of Accounting has an enrollment of approximately 300 undergraduate majors and 35 students seeking the M.S. degree. The department has 22 full-time faculty members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Instructional duties will include a normal teaching load of nine credit hours per semester, curriculum development, participation in the program's assurance of learning efforts and may include online instruction. 
  • In addition to instructional duties, faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in service activities.
