This is a unique and exciting opportunity to build a brand-new PhD program from the ground up at a University enjoying record, year-over-year growth. The next Associate Professor/Professor will serve a critical need in a large and rapidly-expanding Department of Animal Science at Tarleton State University.
The department, which currently serves over 900 students with its B.S and M.S. degrees, is planning to launch a PhD in Animal Science in the during the next 2 years. This position will play a pivotal role in the successful program launch and initial doctoral student recruitment, teaching, and research activities.
Animal Sciences, enjoying exponential growth of 100% in five years and the Master's program having doubled in the past few years serves a diverse student population including many first generation students attending from both metroplex and rural areas.
This tenure-track, 9 month undergraduate and graduate teaching and research/scholarly activity position in the Department of Animal Science reports to department head in the Department of Animal Science.
