Job DescriptionThe School of Applied Health Sciences and Wellness at Ohio University invites applications for a full time, 9-month Assistant
Professor of Instruction (non-tenure track) position in the Division of Food and Nutrition Sciences beginning August 15, 2022. The division
is looking for an experienced, student-friendly colleague with clinical and teaching experience in dietetics. The position emphasis will be
teaching (80%). The successful candidate will advise undergraduate students and lead efforts to update, market, and recruit students into
the Sports Nutrition Certificate. Sports nutrition and diabetes are particular emphases of this position, however we seek candidates with
the expertise to prepare and teach lower- and upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses across the curriculum, such as basic nutrition,
medical nutrition therapy, diabetes courses, nutrient metabolism, etc. In addition, the successful candidate will have a role in mentoring
undergraduates and graduates in professional practice. The candidate is expected to participate in service (20%) to the school, college and
university.
The division takes pride in our forward-thinking curriculum. The undergraduate program has four areas of opportunity for
undergraduate majors (Dietetics, Culinary Nutrition, Environmental Nutrition, and Pre-Professional Nutrition Science) as well as a minor
(Applied Nutrition) and two certificate programs (Diabetes, Sports Nutrition). The graduate program offers a M.S. in Food and Nutrition
Sciences in three modalities: a fully online curriculum, a traditional face-to-face experience, and a MS combined with a dietetics
internship focused on community wellness.
The successful candidate is encouraged to take advantage of the numerous collaborative
relationships that exist between the community and Ohio University, but also expand our relationships with new stakeholders. We take pride

Master's degree in nutrition or related field.Preferred QualificationsAt least three years of teaching experienceBoard Certified Specialist in Sports
