The Physics Department of St. Bonaventure University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning August 2022. A doctorate in Physics is required. Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral and college teaching experience. Teaching responsibilities include teaching Introductory General Physics and lab, undergraduate engineering physics major courses, and natural science courses in St. Bonaventure's Core Curriculum. The teaching load is 12 contact hours per semester. Teaching is enriched by the selected candidate's promise of research in their area of specialization. Preference will be given to candidates whose research is in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics. Research in other areas of Physics is encouraged to apply. Further responsibilities include academic advising, conducting research, service on committees, and professional development.
