Details:
The Department of Religious Studies at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full time Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction position, teaching Religion and Health on our main (Tampa) campus starting August 7, 2022. This position is for the 2022-23 academic year with the possible extension for a second and/or third year. Salary is negotiable. Position is open until filled. Initial review of applications will begin May 12, 2022.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in Religious Studies, or related field of specialization; a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching general and specialized courses. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include expertise in religion and healthcare professions (including professional ethics) in the USA and globally; demonstrated potential to develop curriculum in religion and health; experience in community engagement and working with public sector organizations; evidence of success in research and publication.
