Job Description:

The Multimedia Production Manager employs both technical and creative production skills for WSRE PBS, the public television station licensed to Pensacola State College. The station delivers PBS programming and local productions along with educational and community engagement events for its Northwest Florida/Coastal Alabama coverage area. The Multimedia Production Manager is involved in multimedia content production from concept to completion, routinely as program director and editor. The position requires high-level production skills and extensive knowledge of computer-based NLE (non-linear editing) applications, digital media workflows and software management.


This position provides advanced technical guidance and direction in the coordination and production of television programs, on-air fund drives, uplinks, and other video elements; creates high-quality content as a member of the station’s production team, sharing responsibilities for planning, producing, directing, shooting, editing, and distribution to television and digital platforms; utilizes new industry-standard digital production equipment including switchers, audio consoles, character generators, studio and field cameras, lighting, and teleprompters; develops new ideas, formats, graphics, and animation; performs technical evaluations to ensure productions meet FCC and PBS specifications; and utilizes NLE editing application with appropriate codecs, formats, file export procedures and compression schemes.


Flexible hours and nights and weekends may be required. 


SALARY RANGE:  $38,000--$48,000


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and four years of full-time television experience. Valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 30 lbs., work on ladders and lifts and within confined spaces. Successful results of a background check are required.
