Job Description

This position is a 4.5 month, non-tenure track (part-time), Adjunct Instructor position in the area of Ag Sciences and will teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in Ag Sciences.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate level courses that supports the Agriculture program and contribute to student learning in a variety of areas including but not limited to the following: Agricultural Science and Technology, Land Grant & Global Food Security and related courses.
  • Engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, college, university, community and professional organizations.
  • Keep records, post grades (mid-term & final), submit attendance reporting, and mentor students
  • Post and maintain regular office hours
  • Other duties as assigned by department head


Required Education & Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Agricultural Sciences or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of undergraduate teaching experience.


Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Doctorate degree in Human Sciences, Human Development or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of undergraduate and or graduate teaching experience, and


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the ability for effective teaching and scholarship.
  • Demonstrate support of professional organizations in the discipline
