The Kinesiology and Health Science area is expanding and seeks an engaging instructor who is interested in growing with us!
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, lecturer of Kinesiology to begin August 2022. Responsibilities include a 24-credit hour teaching load in undergraduate kinesiology and fitness courses which support departmental majors as well as serve the needs of the general student population on campus and online. Courses may include but are not limited to: Intro to Kinesiology, Nutrition, Medical Terminology, Sport, Areas & Facilities, etc. Other responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate research, student advising, assessment, and general service to the Department and the College. The College offers campus-based undergraduate degree programs, and distance undergraduate and graduate programs. SMWC is located on a beautiful campus near Terre Haute, Indiana. Requirements
Qualifications & Experience: Master's degree in Kinesiology, Recreation, or other human movement related field by August 2022; terminal degree preferred. Commitment to teaching excellence and to the mission of a liberal arts college with a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement is necessary. Ideal qualifications include evidence of successful college level teaching, using instructional technologies, online instruction, and curriculum development.
