The Comprehensive Studies Department is looking for a collaborative, energetic, and innovative Instructor to teach classes in Developmental and Transitional Mathematics, which range from Basic Mathematics to Intermediate Algebra. This position also includes teaching in the Math + Flex Lab, which offers on demand, individual, just-in-time instruction for students in all levels of Developmental and Transitional Mathematics.
This position may include a possible Program Director appointment and offers opportunities to grow into other leadership roles within the department.
Applicants should have:
Classes are offered during the day and evening and at various locations throughout the 3-county area.
Bachelor's degree in mathematics OR bachelor's degree in related field with a master's degree in mathematics OR a master's degree in related field with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics.
Experience teaching comparable classes at the community college level; The ability to adapt the way you convey knowledge to match the student’s need; The ability to work in teams or independently; Experience working with underprepared students from diverse backgrounds; Knowledge of mindset and how it affects student learning, especially in Mathematics; Have taken Mathematics for Educator style classes.

Tri-County Technical College’s mission is to serve the communities within Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. The College is also part of a state-wide system of sixteen technical colleges. We enroll 6,000 - 7,000 students each year in more than 70 major fields of study, including engineering technology, industrial technology, business, computer and information technology, public service, human services, healthcare, and university transfer programs.
