The University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR), a statewide program with local development and delivery, is seeking the following UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Advisor.
Location Headquarters. SCREC, Irvine, Orange County, CA
PURPOSE: The Urban Community Resiliency Advisor will implement an innovative extension education and applied research program to develop community and economic designs which foster connected and cohesive neighborhoods with an emphasis on the nexus of youth, community and economic development.
The position will involve
EDUCATION: A minimum of a Master’s degree in community development, sociology, education, urban planning, economic development, or related field is required at the time of appointment. It is highly desirable for the Advisor to have experience in urban communities and a solid understanding of the nexus of youth, community, and economic development. In addition to a passion and desire to pursue a career in Cooperative Extension and community development.
SALARY: The beginning salary will be in the Assistant CE Advisor Rank and commensurate with applicable experience and professional qualifications.
