Senior Lecturer in Planning & Environmental Law
University of the South Pacific

The Opportunity

The University of the South Pacific invites applications for Senior Lecturer in Land Law and Planning and Environmental Law in the School of Land Management and Development.

The appointee will be responsible to teach courses in Land, Planning and Environmental Law, develop research in his/her area of expertise and apply for external research funding. He/she will also be expected to undertake administrative tasks as required by the School, Faculty and the University.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

A PhD in Land Law or relevant field with either a formal tertiary teaching qualification and significant (normally 10 years) tertiary teaching experience; A good record of internationally recognized research publication; and Some experience in course development at school and tertiary levels.

Preference will be given to applicants with: Strong record of published research in top-tier journals and books; Professional experience working and/or teaching in developing countries and experience in distance teaching and flexible learning; Ability to deal effectively with cultural diversity; and Ability to interact and teach young and professionals in the field.
