China Programs Instructor - Computer Science/Software Engineering
The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Detroit Mercy College of Engineering and Science invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure track China Program instructor position in Computer Science or Software Engineering beginning in August 2022. The annual appointments are renewable based on performance reviews. An earned doctorate in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, strong communications skills, and a student-centered approach to excellent teaching and student learning are required. Instructors will teach undergraduate classes to support the Department programs in China. Overseas teaching assignments currently range from six to twelve weeks in length.
The successful candidate will be an effective and enthusiastic student-centered teacher, engaging in best practices for active learning and student success, with a demonstrated commitment to supporting a diverse population of students. Instructors are expected to teach undergraduate courses and laboratories in computer programming and software engineering at our partner schools in China.
