Job Description


Cardinal Stritch University is currently seeking a qualified candidate for our Student Affairs department. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Student Affairs. Will serve as the liaison with vendors and students, staff, and faculty to address event and access needs. They also manage effective interdepartmental relationships with custodial and campus operations teams addressing housekeeping, building maintenance, risk management, and security/safety. Provides outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers through clear communication, responsiveness and innovative problem-solving. The typical workday is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with required work on occasional nights and weekends managing events throughout the year. No vacation permitted the week prior to and the first week of each fall and spring semester; no vacation permitted week of commencement ceremonies.

  • Administers University building room reservations system and maintains building intranet facilities log systems
  • Manage and maintain all department facility use schedules and calendars including periodic review and updating of facility reservation procedures, rules, processes, logistics, and fee schedules
  • Receives, reviews and approves all facilities rental requests
  • Manages the logistics of conference set-ups and special university facility related events including approving, organizing, and trouble-shooting all setup requests in all University facilities
  • Assist program areas with logistics to best facilitate programming and activities through space allocation, set-ups, and signage
  • Responsible for the coordination of facilities set-up and tear-down of commencement ceremonies at local off-campus venues
  • Acts as facilities liaison to major events and programs, that are sponsored by the University and held on or off-campus
  • Coordinate facility setup process by communicating with user groups to ensure proper layout and set up of spaces, ensures pre and post-event quality condition of equipment and supplies, and event cleanup, distribute facility use satisfaction surveys to inform necessary changes
  • Responsible for all aspects of renting University facilities to outside entities including bookings, accommodations, and billing
  • Maintain relations and communications University food services provider, risk management, and billing offices
  • Works collaboratively with the Office of the Registrar to ensure classrooms have the furniture and teaching supplies needed and are in working order
  • Researches and provides cost comparisons for projects and adheres to budget guidelines
  • Manages internal and offsite storage needs
  • Coordinate department facilities tour requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • 3- 4 Student Workers


Preferred and Required Qualifications



  • High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of operations tied into the management of a multipurpose facility
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment, working across an organization's many functional areas
  • Ability to organize workflow and coordinate a multitude of activities
  • Knowledge or experience in event management including scheduling, logistical management, and customer service
  • Ability to build alliances and partnerships with other internal and external organizations.
  • A strong attention to detail
