Visiting Assistant Professor, Health Sciences and Human Performance

 

The Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for a full-time one-year Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in August 2022.

This position will have teaching responsibilities in undergraduate courses in the department of health sciences and human performance. Primary teaching responsibilities may include courses such as ESC 105 (biokinetics and conditioning), ESC 110 (introduction to exercise science), HSC 100 (personal and family health), HSC 203 (nutrition), courses in coaching and teaching of sports skills, HSC 350 (biostatistics), and HSC 360 (epidemiology), and other courses as needed by the department. 

 

Each candidate will be expected to teach 27 contact hours per academic year. Opportunities for summer teaching may be available.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned Doctorate in a Health Sciences and Human Performance-related discipline by August 2022.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated expertise in teaching a range of courses in health sciences and human performance. A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in lower and upper-division undergraduate courses is preferred.
