Visiting Assistant Professor, Allied Health

The Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Allied Health available Fall 2022.

The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of more than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The University is ideally situated on a beautiful 110-acre campus next to the Hillsborough River, adjacent to Tampa's dynamic central business district, which is a growing, vibrant, diverse metropolitan area. Responsibilities will include a teaching load of 27 credit hours during the academic year.


Preferred and Required Qualifications


Applicants with an earned Doctorate degree in a Health Sciences and Human Performance related discipline by August 2022 will be considered for the Visiting Professor position.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in teaching a range of courses in allied health and the health sciences. Courses may include, but are not limited to, personal and family health, medical terminology, nutrition, introduction to allied health, and applied kinesiology.

Candidates are expected to have an interest in, and the ability to, teach courses at the introductory and upper division levels. A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in lower and upper division undergraduate courses is required.
