Moravian University is located in the center of historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. From its early roots as the sixth oldest institution of higher education in the nation and the first school to open its doors to women, Moravian University has been a pioneer. Rather than simply following the history of others, Moravian innovates and provides what students and society need most. Moravian University, a master's comprehensive university, seeks an energetic, talented, and collaborative leader to serve as the founding dean of University's new School of Behavioral and Community Health.

The Dean will work closely with internal and external partners to expand and develop academic programs to meet the mental health needs of the regional community. The Dean is a member of the faculty (rank commensurate with experience) who also holds an administrative appointment related to managing a specific program or programs.
The Dean will have the opportunity to develop and implement innovative programs that prepare behavioral health professionals to work in multidisciplinary settings. The programs will prepare students to meet state licensure requirements, while also preparing them to serve the mental health needs of the highly diverse Lehigh Valley. The Dean will engage in professional associations, businesses, and the local community as necessary to promote the visibility and stature of the program(s).
