Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Web Developer position is a member of the Web Development team. Basic responsibilities include project work that is typically team focused and includes creating/enhancing web based software applications and databases through client-side programming, server-side programming, configuration and logic, database design and programming, functional testing, and training users on software.

Independent work is similar in form, but typically smaller in scale. Programmer may be assigned specific applications to oversee and maintain through subject matter expertise, troubleshooting, code development, and system development.

Administrative duties including attending team and project meetings, meeting with campus collaborators, and some administration of software and applications.

This is a coding-intense position. Technology utilized includes, but is not limited to: ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, CSS, SQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, IIS, Docker, git, Visual Studio.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field or equivalent relevant work experience (8 years) in related field.

-3 years software engineering/programming experience in a web environment

-Intermediate knowledge of coding concepts including object oriented programming

-Demonstrated ability to design and create databases and queries

-Proficient knowledge of web accessibility standards and semantics

-Demonstrated ability to code web front-end programming (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)

-Experience troubleshooting complex programming and administration problems

-Ability to manage workload without oversight

The position will be filled as a grade E32, E33, or E34 depending on candidate qualifications. The minimum annual salary for this position starts at $52,000 and will go up from there depending on candidate qualifications. The position comes with a generous benefits package. A remote/flexible work schedule may be possible.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision: Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.

The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position: None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
