Job Description

Overview of Position: 
This position requires a person who is nurturing, kind and energetic. They will help supervise and monitor children at all times. Participate in scheduled team meetings, adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of children, and work with special needs children and agencies. They should understand and help develop, developmentally appropriate skills in all early childhood domains. Encourage exploration, experimentation in/out the classroom, prepare weekly lessons consistent with the curriculum and work with a teacher and other support staff. Further this position will assist to document and conduct screenings and assessments, and participate in parent meetings.  They will assist with maintaining the safety and maintenance of classroom and playground.  Finally assist with monitoring and documenting all incidents.
 

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: 

  • High School diploma 
  • 90 hours Certification in Early Childhood Education, Infant - Toddler Certificate 
  • One year experience working in a Childcare Center  
  • Must have a current First Aid/CPR certification
