Raritan Valley Community College has an anticipated opening for a Coordinator of Nursing Admissions & Clinical Partnerships in the Health Science Education department.
The Coordinator of Nursing Admissions and Clinical Partnerships is responsible for overseeing the RVCC Nursing Program's application, admissions, and registration process, applying the program progression policies to current and returning students, and evaluating the required health maintenance information for current students and applicants. The Coordinator will provide program and admissions information to prospective and clinical Nursing students, maintain records in compliance with external accrediting bodies, and serve as the program's liaison to clinical agencies and organizations, including the maintenance of the clinical course schedule and all necessary affiliation agreements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures that accurate information regarding program and admissions requirements, procedures, and policies, is provided to pre-Nursing and clinical Nursing students and is available on the HSE website.
Provides updates to Admissions, Enrollment Services, and Advising and Counseling regarding nursing admission and progression policies.
Plans, organizes, and executes Nursing Information Sessions on a monthly basis in the Fall and Spring semesters.
Represents the Nursing program at on-campus activities such as information sessions, open houses, and other recruitment events.
Tracks and communicates with students through pre-requisite course completion, application, admission, program progression, and graduation.
Oversees relevant communications and mailings to prospective and clinical Nursing students. Maintains security of student records and correspondence.
Makes decisions regarding admission into the Nursing Program based on the established objective admission criteria.
Advises all applicants regarding status and eligibility, and communicates to new clinical nursing students the requirements that must be met once admitted to the program.
Communicates health maintenance requirements to applicants, clinical students, newly admitted students, and clinical faculty, including deadlines and processes for submission.
Monitors health maintenance records to ensure that all students and clinical faculty are in compliance with program requirements.
Serves as a liaison to the drug screen, background check, and uniform companies.
Serves as a liaison to external clinical agencies.
Establishes appropriate clinical schedules based on program need and availability; updates schedules as necessary.
Maintains current affiliation agreements with clinical partners.
Oversees the program progression policies for clinical Nursing students.
Provides information regarding reinstatement procedures for students who withdraw from the program or are unable to progress due to academic performance or other reasons.
Maintains detailed records of attrition.
Oversees the registration of clinical nursing students each semester based on priority.
Monitors course rosters throughout registration periods for accuracy.
Oversees the ATI Testing process for applicants, clinical Nursing students, and graduates, including the scheduling of pre-admission testing dates and the registration of applicants.
Serves as ATI testing liaison to RVCC Testing Center. Collects data from end-of-year assessments and additional pre-NCLEX testing.
Monitors NCLEX-RN success rates for graduates.
