Job Summary: The Educational Technology Consultant will provide leadership and direct the use of education learning technology in the College of Pharmacy. The incumbent will ensure this technology meets the pedagogical needs of faculty and students, aligns with best practices and accreditation standards, and is accessible to fulfill various learning needs and objectives. The incumbent must be able to apply discretion in their work and should be familiar with student privacy and protections laws. This position reports to the Assistant Dean for Curriculum.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 6: $41,778.00 - $59,538.50 - $77,299.00 (min - mid - max)

Job Duties: 

• 35% - Directs the use of educational technology in the college
• Create and maintain instructional reference materials for students and faculty to support the integration and delivery of educational tools and applications.
• Provide creative and appropriate technology integrated learning solutions based on faculty members' specific instructional goals.
• Maintain a high level of educational technology knowledge and monitor ongoing developments in the field of learning technology. - (Essential)
• 30% - Responsible for system integration and user access as it relates to educational technology
• Collaborates with the Curriculum Coordinator to ensure proper integration from colleague (course activation) across the LMS, ExamSoft, Panopto, and other learning tools. (ensure students are enrolled properly, ADA accommodations are loaded, etc.)
• Advises users and assists in facilitating user access and permissions to LMS, ExamSoft, Panopto, and other learning tools which includes adding and deactivating users, permissions changes, etc.
• Helps maintain non-credit courses
• Assists faculty with other systems used in teaching and assessment such as REDCap and Poll Everywhere
• Establishes and communicates the technical standards required for LMS systems and ensures faculty, students, and staff have acquired access to all LMS applications on their computing devices - (Essential)
• 20% - Provide support for faculty, staff, and students Provides leadership, coordination, and support for implementation and ongoing education, both physical and virtual, of university wide instructional technology systems to deliver these resources to the COP in an effective and efficient manner.
• Includes but is not limited to training, troubleshooting, support, administration, establishing processes and guidelines, and consulting on use
• Provides educational technology orientation for new students entering the program Identifies, evaluates, and promotes new learning technology that may be of interest to faculty and students (e.g., mmmhmm)
• Ensure new faculty are educated on the subject of digital accessibility
• Provide access to University training materials for digital accessibility and provide support for digital accessibility tool, Blackboard Ally, and questions related to academic content - (Essential)
• 15% - Coordinate and lead specific projects for the COP in consultation with the University Educational Technology group Work to provide regular training for end users to facilitate understanding and use of learning tools.
• Consult regularly with faculty, staff, and students on their use of technology; solicit feedback, analyze and recommend improvements
• Represent the COP on University committees that make decisions on educational technology - (Essential)
