The Florida State University School of Theatre invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Theatre Management.
Responsibilities include teaching three courses each semester covering Audience Development, Arts Management, Business Communications, Business and Legal Issues, Strategic Governance, and Professional Practices in the MFA Theatre Management program. We are interested in practitioners who are committed to teaching graduate students and collaborating with the School of Theatre Director and Chair on the administration of the MFA Theatre Management program. The position requires serving on School and University Committees, assisting in the mentoring of students, and working in cooperation with faculty and staff in fulfilling the educational mission of the School of Theatre. A successful candidate would bring practical leadership experience in theatre alongside a record of teaching. MFA or equivalent terminal degree is required as is successful college level teaching experience.
