A full-time, 9-month Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Technology instructional faculty position is available beginning August 2022 for the 2022-2023 academic year. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Cybersecurity or closely related field is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. Certifications in CompTIA Network+, Security+, Linux +, Cloud +, Server + or A+ preferred. Must be willing/able to obtain a NetAcad Instructor Training Certificate and CCNA certification. Knowledge of Microsoft client and server operating systems are highly preferred. Collegiate/adult-level teaching and online teaching experience is also strongly preferred, as is experience with grant management. Applicants should submit copies of transcripts documenting education and certifications completed along with other requested documents.
The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and techniques to enhance student learning. The successful candidate will also have a strong team and interpersonal skills. Primary duties include in-person classroom and online teaching; curriculum and course development; student academic advising; assessment of student learning; program promotion and student recruitment; and participation in college-wide initiatives. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, the ability to work in teams, and the flexibility to teach day or evening hours at the College’s locations in Springfield and Beavercreek. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work effectively in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position reports to the Dean in the School of Business and Applied Technologies located at the Springfield Leffel Lane main campus.

As a member of a learning community, faculty members are expected to contribute to the life of the College. Their activities advance the goals and image of one’s program, School, and the College as a whole.
