Full Time Faculty Masters of Arts in Education Program Position

Responsibilities of UMass Global full-time faculty include teaching, mentoring andservice. Research activities are supported, but not required. All faculty positions are non-tenure track, primarily hired at the rank of Assistant Professor, however, higher rank may be considered if appropriate.UMass Global offers competitive salaries with generous benefits.
Candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and received the booster when applicable. Responsibilities:
NOTE: All responsibilities align with ensuring The School of Education's fidelity to remaining a nationally accredited institution.
• Teach courses in the MAE Program (core and discipline specific);
• Advise and direct MAE candidates;
• Take an active role in maintaining and continuously refining existing programs/courses;
• Collaborate with peers across the School and the greater University community;
• Participate in department/curriculum team, School of Education, and University meetings and committees;
• Participate in service to the education community within and outside of the University.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Doctorate in a relevant discipline: (e.g.: Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology and Leadership, Teachers, Schools, and Society);
• Experience as a credentialed teacher of K-12 students;
• Experience with design and facilitation of innovative online learning and academic technology;
• Depth of understanding, if not direct experience and expertise, in at least two of the following areas: Sociology of Education, Ethnographic Educational Studies, Social Justice, DEI, Democracy in Education, STEAM, and Qualitative Research;
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• Technology literate;
• Strong ability to collaborate;
• Teaching experience in higher education (online experience preferred).
