The Maintenance Technician II performs campus-wide maintenance functions including, but not limited to, conducting routine inspections of buildings and equipment; completing preventative maintenance operations; maintaining log sheets of completed work; scheduling outside contractors; responding to emergency work order situations; greasing motors and equipment; repairing roads and sidewalks; servicing light fixtures; conducting light carpentry work; and repairing or replacing necessary equipment and parts.
Other duties include monitoring pool chemical levels; servicing College vehicles; troubleshooting systems and switches for the College phone system; changing caustic soda barrels out of the domestic water system; hanging pictures and repairing walls, completing grounds work; posting College signs, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
