Job Summary
The Coordinator of Residency and Tuition Classification serves as the primary residency and tuition classification officer for new and returning undergraduate applicants to Georgia Southern University to ensure University Systems of Georgia policies and state laws are followed regarding residency designations and tuition classification. This position also supervises one staff member.

Responsibilities

  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Review application materials and reports to ensure accurate residency status on all applications
  • Communicate with applicants and family members to review residency documentation and tuition waiver requests
  • Confirm the verification of lawful presence and review necessary documentation
  • Stay current on University System of Georgia and State of Georgia policy/law regarding residency, tuition waivers, and lawful presence
  • Assist with applicant file review, clean-up, and reporting as needed
  • Support other functional areas within Admissions Operations as needed
  • Serve as counselor on call, assisting with calls and office visits; give information sessions to daily campus visitors; assist with large on-campus recruitment events (i.e., open houses and orientations)


Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree


Required Experience

  • Three or more years of related work experience


Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications

  • Master's degree related field


Preferred Experience

  • Experience in college admission, registrar, or enrollment areas
  • Experience in Banner student information system


Proposed Salary
$36,500 - $39,900

This position is non-exempt and paid biweekly
