Job Description

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director. This experienced executive will play a key role in assisting the congregation’s Administrative Team in strategic planning, financial/asset management, and operational excellence. The congregation is pursuing licensing for RCAC and eventually future CBRF.

This is a well-established Catholic organization with a beautiful new facility along Lake Michigan that was completed in 2019. It includes private accommodations for 80 residents. Seventy-one residents are currently members of the congregation.

Reporting to the Administrative Team of three Sisters, this position will have both strategic and financial management responsibility for all facilities and assets. Direct reports include the CFO and facility Administrator.

 

 

 

 

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Understanding and support of the mission and values of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi. The ideal candidate will demonstrate respect for the mission of the Catholic church and an ability to work with church leaders.
  • An MBA with undergraduate degree in healthcare-related services for seniors or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior management position in the residential healthcare industry, non-profit preferred
  • Exceptional skills in strategic planning, budgeting, asset and real estate management, forecasting and analysis, joint ventures, partnerships and understanding of Trends Analysis (Resource Center for Religious Institutes)
  • Experience with licensed senior care facilities such as AL, MC, CBRF, RCAC (this is not a SNF) is a plus
  • Proven people skills with a servant leadership approach to employee relations
  • Experience in fundraising is a plus
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
