Job Description

The primary role of the Admissions Counselor is to help increase the number of qualified applicants to the University and to enroll the most talented and diverse student body. The Admissions Counselor will execute targeted interpersonal, virtual and in-person engagement with prospective students, as defined by enrollment goals that are in alignment with the University’s Strategic Enrollment Plan. Successful candidates will need to communicate effectively with special student populations including first-generation, Latinx, veteran, students of color, adult learners and other at risk student populations, The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for counseling prospective freshman, transfer and graduate-level students, participating in both on-campus and virtual events, in-person and virtual pre-admissions appointments, and through the University’s web-based chat software.
