Job Description:

UNC Pembroke is seeking a broadly trained biologist for teaching responsibilities in both lecture courses and labs. One-year, full-time temporary lecturer position for individual capable of teaching Principles of Biology, Botany, Zoology, Exploring Life's Diversity, Environmental Science, Human Biology, and/or other courses as needed. The lecturer will teach both majors and non-majors courses depending on candidate's background and qualifications. Responsibilities also include department and university service on committees. The successful candidate will begin August, 2022 (9-month appointment) and teach 12 hours of courses (or equivalents) in both Fall and Spring semesters. Minimum degree required is a Master's degree in an appropriate area of Biology or related field of Biology with demonstration of excellence in teaching strongly preferred.
The lecturer position is renewable based on department needs and successful completion of assigned duties.
