We are now inviting suitable candidate(s) to join us in the School of Nursing and Health Studies for the following post(s):

Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Physiotherapy) (Ref: 21001WG)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • supporting the Dean and the Department Head in the development and administration of the physiotherapy programmes;
  • undertaking course planning, development, coordination and delivery (including classroom teaching);
  • providing leadership and participating in research and scholarly activities as well as School/University services;
  • helping the development of a Physiotherapy clinic; and
  • performing any duties as assigned.


Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • an earned doctorate in Physiotherapy or a related discipline;
  • substantial relevant practical and teaching experience in the profession, particularly in the musculoskeletal and sports Physiotherapy or cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy;
  • experience in programme and course administration in the field of Physiotherapy or a related area;
  • considerable record of research and peer-reviewed publications or equivalent;
  • a valid practicing certificate or qualification to act as a registered Physiotherapist in Hong Kong; and
  • excellent command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).

The level of appointment depends on the candidate's academic background, experience and competence in academic leadership, teaching, research, scholarly publications, etc.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, a composite cash/housing allowance, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
