D’Youville seeks an enthusiastic, strategic and professional Associate Director of Philanthropy and Engagement. The Associate Director will work in partnership with the Advancement team, utilizing the Advancement strategic plan to develop resources, appropriate policies and procedures, and to support the creation of effective and visionary initiatives in support of our alumni fundraising goals. The successful candidate must have the ability to drive and coordinate the cultivation, solicitation ad stewardship of our alumni network and ensure a consistent message.
The Associate Director works closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Engagement to pair engagement and fundraising opportunities with new and existing institutional initiatives and strategic objectives.
The selected candidate will cultivate and solicit primarily gifts ($5,000+) from alumni and friends of D’Youville to support priority programs and initiatives. The candidate will also identify and prioritize a portfolio of prospects and develop appropriate strategies to secure gifts; and collaborate with alumni and annual giving teams to develop programs that engage and motivate gift donors. Solicit gifts through face-to-face visits and direct/individual Zoom, phone, and email solicitations.
2-3 years' relevant experience. Must include experience in fundraising, and cultivation and stewardship of donors.
Fundraising experience at a college or university.
Excellent writing, public speaking, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to conduct professional presentations via phone and in person. Ability to take initiative and collaborate with others.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
