Job Description

This position is responsible for providing instruction to K-5th grade students enrolled in the Refugee Youth Project's after-school program at Moravia Park Elementary School. Responsibilities include teaching art class, development of instructional materials, student assessment, and following student record keeping processes and procedures.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Education:                                                                                                                                   

  • High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma. 

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of professional work experience.
  • Ability to teach art lessons to young children required.
  • Experience working with youth with limited English skills preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment a plus.
  • Experience working with and supervising volunteers a plus, but not required.
