Job Description


Assistant Professor
Wright State University/Lake Campus

The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop courses in entry level and advanced agricultural areas with a focus on agronomic production and science. Courses may include (but are not limited to): Introduction to Agronomy, Farm Business Management, Nutrient Management, and Agronomic Industries and Business Practices. The faculty will be responsible to engage with students and related activities through agriculture-related clubs, program development, and research activities. The faculty should be actively involved in community agricultural activities, organizations, and assist with outreach efforts to educate area youth and adult agronomic producers, as appropriate.



Preferred and Required Qualifications

Required: Ph.D. in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field anticipated by the start date.

Preferred: Documented teaching and research experience with the ability to work within a collaborative work environment; previous experience in program development and student club advisory experience.
