The Department of Physical Therapy is accepting applications for two full-time, 12-month, core faculty members to join our dynamic and collaborative team. Application reviews will begin immediately and continue until both positions are filled. Rank is commensurate with experience and credentials.
The Baylor Physical Therapy Department is home to an innovative and accelerated (2-year) DPT program that uses a hybrid learning curricular model. Although the Department is based in Waco, Texas, faculty may live anywhere in the U.S. However, faculty must be willing to travel to Waco, Texas, and stay for designated periods of time.
The successful candidate will have a strong scholarly agenda and experience teaching entry-level DPT students in areas of expertise. Additional responsibilities include coaching/mentoring graduate students, and engaging in institutional and professional service. Applicants with a background in innovative teaching and learning, who have experience collaborating remotely with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff, and who are interested in novel solutions for research productivity in a hybrid environment are encouraged to apply.
Baylor University is a private Christian university and a nationally ranked research institution, consistently listed with highest honors among The Chronicle of Higher Education’s “Great Colleges to Work For.” The University is recruiting new faculty with a deep commitment to excellence in teaching, research and scholarship. Baylor seeks faculty who share in our aspiration to become a tier one research institution while strengthening our distinctive Christian mission as described in our strategic vision, Pro Futuris, and academic strategic plan, Illuminate. As the world’s largest Baptist University, Baylor offers over 40 doctoral programs and has more than 17,000 students from all 50 states and more than 85 countries.

Preferred: Special consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong interest and background in research, a strong publication record, and experience with acquisition of grant funding.
