Job Description


The University of Scranton Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in community, clinical, counseling, school, or educational psychology, beginning in August 2022. The position is open to applicants of all ranks, and applicants from other subfields in psychology are encouraged to apply if their scholarly and/or applied activities fit the preferences below. The department can furnish supervision toward psychology licensure and a teaching schedule compatible with licensing hours.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with scholarship on psychological or health impacts of personal or systemic racism; preventive or therapeutic approaches to coping with racism or racial trauma; identity and resilience, or; anti-racist policy applications of psychological science. The successful applicant will teach departmental courses, and will develop a course aligned with their research specialty for inclusion in a new interdisciplinary Black Studies concentration.
