Laboratory research focuses on how genes and molecules orchestrate the development of an embryo. The knowledge obtained may help to discover new molecules and specific gene/cell treatments to prevent and cure diseases affecting mankind both in the adult and embryonic stages, as well as inducing endogenous in vivo regenerative responses that may allow for tissue and organ regeneration and slowing down the aging process.
Funded post-doctoral positions are immediately available for individuals with a good grounding in molecular and/or developmental biology, methods such as CRISPR mediated genome editing, RNA sequencing and epigenetics. Knowledge of bioinformatics is also very desirable. Ideal candidates should be intellectually curious, productive, and enjoy working in a committed team effort to make these important projects succeed. The projects are well under way due to the efforts of a dedicated group of post-docs, technicians and undergrads.
