Full time Biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences

Job Description

The Stites Laboratory combines experimental, computational, and systems approaches to study cancer and disease. We have a historic emphasis on the RAS pathway.  Currently available projects include (i) studies of cancers driven by non-canonical RAS pathway mutations; (ii) functional genomic and systems biology studies to identify new approaches for targeting cancer.  Additional projects that apply the systems biology perspective to the study of the RAS pathway are also available.

The laboratory is comprised of both experimental and computational scientists, although individual scientists tend to be either experimental or computational.  Collaborations between experimental and computational scientists are common, and provide an opportunity to enrich one's science and to expedite progress on one's main project(s).

Experience with experimental cellular and molecular biology is required for experimental postdocs.  Ideal candidates for the specific projects listed above will have strong expertise with functional genomics and/or with cell signaling.  Candidates also need to be good team members and to be open to new ideas and approaches.
