The University of Southern Maine's School of Business is seeking two part-time Lecturers for Principles of Marketing (BUS 260), Marketing Strategy (BUS 360), Consumer Behavior (BUS 365), and Marketing Opportunity Analysis (BUS 362) classes. These courses will run on the Portland campus in daytime, evening and online sections. We are looking for coverage of up to two courses for each instructor.
We are seeking a student-focused instructor who will have full responsibility for course delivery and grading in each marketing class. Current and future needs include, BUS 260 provides an introduction to the general marketing framework, BUS 360 is the follow up to introductory marketing class and covers the integration of marketing and financial concepts, BUS 365 provides an in-depth overview of consumer psychology within the purchase decision process, and BUS 362 takes an entrepreneurial look at marketing opportunities in worldwide markets. Part-time faculty members are paid on a credit hour basis based on prior college teaching experience. In addition, USM employees can use their USM Card to access the library, Cigna Employee Assistance Plan, and fitness center (s). USM also offers part-time faculty the opportunity for development frequently through our Center for Collaboration and Development (CCD) and the chance to get an online teaching certification and training through CTEL, in addition to other developmental opportunities open to all staff throughout the year.

Ph.D., MBA, or other relevant graduate degree. Five years or more of marketing workplace experience. Experience teaching marketing classes in business schools is preferred.
